Is It Ever Too Late For Someone To Learn How To Program? An Old Age Question

My mentor always said, “Every time is the right time; all you have to do is take a step forward.”

I never understood the meaning of this statement when I was young.
After some time had gone, the only thing that had left an influence on me was our mentor’s statement.
After that in my job life, I used to have to ask myself questions like, “Is it ever too late for someone to learn how to program?”

Our mentor’s statement, it turns out, includes the solutions to all of our questions.

I’ve considered learning how to program, but I don’t have the time.

At the same time, I’m getting on in years. I’m scared I won’t be able to program once I start. What if others consider me to be a loser.
