CasioPart: over a quarter million parts, searchable by compatibility
A WooCommerce store for genuine Casio replacement parts: over a quarter million products that customers filter, check against their Casio model, then buy, order or send in for repair.
What they needed
CasioPart sells genuine Casio replacement parts for watches, calculators and musical instruments. The catalog holds over a quarter million products, and growing. Customers usually know the model or part number they need, so they have to find the right part fast and see whether it fits their Casio product. Stock and orders are managed in Veeqo. The same client also runs a sister store, SeikoPart.
What I built
- A WooCommerce store on a child theme of Storefront, with custom PHP in the theme and in plugins.
- Product templates and forms built with Toolset, with dynamic data filled in through Toolset shortcodes.
- Search and product lists with WP Grid Builder, so customers can narrow the catalog by model or part number.
- A compatibility status on each part, showing which Casio products it fits.
- Three ways to act on a part: buy it directly, order it, or send a product in for repair.
- The integration with Veeqo for inventory and order fulfilment, keeping stock in sync with the store to avoid overselling. I wrote the integration on the store side; the client set up and ran the Veeqo side, and I worked in Veeqo too when debugging.
